Position

Pass legislation that would allow small businesses to be reimbursed for attorneys' fees when successfully challenging government's regulatory actions in court. Work for passage of the Small Business Liability Reform Act, which would impose caps on punitive damage awards and proportional liability for small businesses. Support legislation that would provide budgetary independence for the Office of Advocacy. Pass a Small Business Administration reauthorization bill that would support strong and stable SBA 7(a) and 504 lending programs. Oppose legislation and regulations that would close the IRS tax gap by placing excessive paperwork and withholding burdens on compliant small business taxpayers.
